What is mankind's ultimate destiny?

Jesus answers the question in John 10, where He tells the Jews, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods"'?" This is the tremendous potential of all humanity! The apostle John writes in I John 3:2, "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." This leaves no doubt about it! God promises that in the resurrection, when Christ appears, we will be made like Him—born into the very Family of God (see John 3:3-16; Romans 8:14-17, 29-30; I Corinthians 15:35-54; Revelation 20:4-6)!

We believe that God is a Family, currently composed of two Persons, the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ. God is reproducing Himself through individuals growing into the very image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). This is God's purpose, worked out through the process of salvation begun in each Christian. Eventually, God will give every human who has ever lived or will live the opportunity for salvation and entrance into His divine Family.
