In this broadcast, Herbert W. Armstrong asserts that the origin of Christmas has no roots whatsoever in the Bible. The Catholic Encyclopedia substantiates the Pagan origins of this festival, pre-dating Christianity by centuries. The tradition of trading gifts did not originate with the wise men bringing gifts- an event which occurred long after Christ's birth, reflecting a custom of presenting a king or royalty with a gift. Christmas obviously ignores the supposed recipient of this gift.
