telecast: Explosion at Sinai
Genesis 16:12-21
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 29-Dec-80; Sermon #HA237B; 30 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong contends that the entire Middle Eastern conflict has its origin in a jealousy of two women (Sarah and Hagar) over the favor of one man (Abraham). The birthright promise went to the offspring of Isaac while promises of national prominence were given to the offspring of Ishmael . The descendents of Ishmael have had centuries of resentment and animosity toward the offspring of Isaac. President Sadat unveiled to Herbert W. Armstrong his plans for establishing a peace center at Mount Sinai. This location had already been a center of world peace when God's spiritual law was given to the people of Israel. The book The United States and Britain in Prophecy and the booklet Watch the Middle East were offered on this program.
