Ted Bowling, marveling about the longevity of many marriages on the Church of the Great God website, reflects upon the valuable character trait we call commitment. Sadly, marriage commitments are becoming more of a discarded relic in this world's society, as reflected in the philandering ways of former President Bill Clinton and Prince Charles. Conversely, the commitment demonstrated by the nine firefighters in Charleston was deemed as valorous and uncommon. God's commitment to us, motivated by love and sacrifice, is unconditional. Our commitment to Him should be reciprocal, as demonstrated by our Bible study, meditation, and self-examination, enabling us to interact with, and sacrifice to, our physical and spiritual family.
