sermonette: Do We Really Believe ?

As a Mustard Seed
Richard T. Ritenbaugh
Given 07-Jun-08; Sermon #885s; 18 minutes

Description: (hide)

Richard Ritenbaugh, referencing his father's signature sermon, "Do you see God?", asserts that we should see the effects of God in His creation as well as the minute changes that have taken place in our own lives. We should also see God"s presence in the little providential things taking place in our daily lives such as the extended durability of our possessions or the generosity of others.Do we see Him enough to follow Him, living by sanctifying faith (a trust in God that sets us apart and is growing)? Faith cannot remain small and static, but should move from "I believe" to "I will live or do." Through prayer and fasting (our fiber optic channel to God), we dramatically augment the magnitude of our faith.
