Just as blind spots are dangerous while driving, so also there are behavioral, psychological, and spiritual blind spots to which we are all vulnerable. We all come from different backgrounds and preferences, leaving us with behavioral blind spots that could negatively impact each other. The problem is that it is much easier to see the blind spot or faults in others than the massive fault hidden deep within our human nature. Blind spots or secret faults, according to Claudia Shelton in her book Blind Spots, generally emanate from strengths overused, old habits or behavior under stress. We must closely monitor these sources of annoyance, avoiding dangerous behavioral accidents with our brethren.
