sermonette: Approaching the Father
The Basics of Prayer
Ted E. Bowling
Given 26-Jul-08; Sermon #893s; 15 minutes
Description: (hide)
Ted Bowling suggests that a prayer is not a wish list, but instead our most important spiritual tool, enabling us to communicate intimately with God the Father. We need to approach our God as a child would come respectfully before his physical father, humbly and trustingly. The more time we spend in communication with God, the more of Him rubs off on us. Even though our Father is holy and in charge of the entire universe, He is approachable, desiring to communicate with us, having intense compassion and tender mercy for us.
