God will perform a surgical strike, utterly destroying the evil, but miraculously preserving the good. Jerusalem will again be occupied and life will resume on the earth. Perhaps a solar flare could clean away the results of a nuclear winter or an atmosphere laden with pathogens. God will be able to systematically cleanse this earth of all evil and re-establish a healthy atmosphere and environment.
