Ronny Graham, reflecting on an episode in which an elderly friend suffered an injury leading to a death, expressed disgust that the church in which she had attended sent no one out to see her. The local deacon said baseball season and a bowling tournament had a higher order of priority. No one came by to express condolences nor did anyone prepare any memorial meal for the family. Hopefully, the Church of the Great God will never achieve the reputation of aloofness or uncaring. We need to make sure that we are affectionate, kindly, sympathetic, giving honor to one another, giving preferential value and esteem to our brethren. Our salvation is closely tied to how we treat one another.
