telecast: Christ Brought Division
Isaiah 11:6-9 Luke 12:49-53 Titus 1:16
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 01-Jan-34; Sermon #HA227B; 30 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong contends that Jesus Christ did not come to bring peace on this earth now, but instead division. Jesus had no intention of improving the world?s existing institutions, but to totally replace this entire pattern of mismanaged social, economic, political, social and religious systems - the world or cosmos as we now know it. If God did not intervene, mankind?s misrule would threaten to annihilate all life. Christ will eventually set up the Kingdom of God- the wonderful world tomorrow. Christ?s called out saints (the future administrators of this kingdom) will receive hostility and persecution from the world (and very often from their own families) because the world has rejected God?s rule and leadership. The booklet The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was offered on this program.
