The command to count Pentecost is given to each of us. We are to call upon biblically-based reserves of hope, embracing God's calling and purpose for us to be part of the first resurrection and Firstfruits. As we pine for a friend's arrival, we count the days of Pentecost in anticipation of Christ's arrival and our redemption. As we count the days for Pentecost, we could consider this act as a countdown to our glorification.
