A loss of hope constitutes a loss of love. We have an obligation to hope for the restoration of unity, the restoration of severed relationships, and the resurrection into eternal life. Hope helps us weather the trials that we go through currently. God provides us a door of hope when we repent, attaining alignment with His Law and His glorious presence. What we hope for will be attained if we have godly love.
