Considering the evangelical Protestant focus on the 'blood moons' (lunar eclipses taking place on successive holy days) discovered by Mark Biltz, it is amazing that so many Protestants who believe the 'Jewish Holy Days' have been 'done away' should be so obsessed with these lunar signs. Because the nations of Israel have discarded God's laws, the ninth tetrad (ending on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles) could be interpreted as a harbinger of God's judgment. As far as the moon turning to blood, an event occurring within the Sixth Seal in Revelation, far more than lunar eclipses will be involved to shake the earth out of its orbit, bringing on the horrific cosmic disturbances described in prophecy. Sadly, most of Jacob's descendants, including the zealous Protestant evangelicals, have lost sight of the significance of the Holy days and God's plan for mankind and are blissfully unaware of the underlying reasons (the breaking of God's covenant) for God's impending judgment. God has given the sun and the moon as signs and seasons (Genesis 1:14), intending that we keep our covenant with Him. If we have failed, we need to re-evaluate our spiritual progress before things really get dark for Jacob's descendants. The darkening of the heavenly lights is a consistent symbol of judgment, and can be a reflection of the darkening of understanding that happens to a man or nation whose light is about to go out.
