telecast: We Are Saved by Jesus' Life
Romans 5:8-10, I Corinthians 15:12-28,I John 5:11-12

Given 01-Jan-34; Sermon #TWT2174A; 30 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong contends that although most professing 'Christians' believe that we are saved by Jesus' death, we are actually saved by His life. We are justified and reconciled by His death (paying the penalty of our sins), but His grace gives us no license to continue in sin. Had Christ not been resurrected from the dead, we would not have the opportunity for salvation. We are not saved by His death, but by His life, which He imparts through the begettal or gift of His Holy Spirit to those called- out individuals who have totally yielded to God. The booklets The Resurrection was not on Sunday and The Plain Truth about Easter were offered on this program.
