telecast: What The True Church Will Be Like
Revelation 12, Hebrews 12:5-8
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 29-Apr-75; Sermon #RAD8021; 28 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong contends that comparatively few have heard the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.Instead, most have heard a gospel of men about His Person. Jesus Christ foretold that His church would be a little flock, persecuted as He was, and scattered, continually focused upon overcoming, growing in grace and knowledge, acknowledging or admitting its mistakes, and yielding to God's loving chastening and correction. A great, false church, drunk with the blood of the saints, having an adulterous, political relationship with the regimes of this world, speaking many different languages, and occupying many countries, would claim His name, but would also disparage and denigrate His Commandments. The booklet Just What Do You Mean Conversion? was offered on the program.
