Herbert W. Armstrong blames defiance of God's laws as the sole cause of suffering on this earth. Mankind has replaced those life- and -happiness - fulfilling laws with man-made rules and customs, turning God's laws (especially those connected with His Sabbath) into a burden. Likewise, the world has largely rejected the Gospel of Jesus Christ, replacing it with a counterfeit gospel of men about His person, and has thoroughly mixed it with pagan customs. The life-saving message of the Kingdom of God and the Family of God must go to the world as a witness before the return of Christ. The booklets Why Were You Born? and The United States and the British Commonwealth in Prophecy were offered on this program.
