telecast: Passover vs. Easter
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 01-Jan-34; Sermon #TWT2187B; 30 minutes
Description: (hide)
In this broadcast focusing upon the differences between Easter and Passover, Herbert W. Armstrong asserts the impossibility of a Good Friday crucifixion and an Easter Sunday morning resurrection based upon the sign of Jonah (Matthew 12:40, Luke 11:30) requiring three full days and three full nights. Jesus did not "do away" with the Passover, replacing it with a "Christian" Easter memorial, but instead changed the emblems of the Passover. Virtually the entire religious world (including those who believe they observe it) denigrates the Passover, replacing it with a Pagan counterfeit or else keep it on the wrong day.
