telecast: Healing and the Anointed Cloth
Exodus 15:26, Mark 5:38-43, Acts 19:11-12
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 18-Jun-79; Sermon #RAD8058; 27 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong points out that a significant portion of Christ's ministry consisted of healing the sick and restoring physical health. Jesus Christ never put on a public healing show or exhibition, but instead, quietly and with dignity, healed those who exercised believing faith and submitted to God. One of God's names is Healer. Healing is contingent upon believing faith. The apostle Paul, following the mandate of Christ, set the precedent of anointing cloths serving as proxies for his actual presence, and symbolizing the power of God's Holy Spirit. Christ's ministers use the same procedure today. The booklets Does God Heal Today? and What is Faith? as well as the Ambassador College Bible Correspondence Course were offered on this program.
