Herbert W. Armstrong reiterates that most of the churches bearing Christ's name teaching the diametric opposite of what Jesus taught. Jesus Christ's sacrifice paid for our sins and the physical afflictions and infirmities resulting from sin. Most churches do not believe that God heals, and those that do, make a ludicrous public exhibition of this practice. Jesus never made a public display of healing, but preferred to do these acts in privacy, in the company of believers. Obedience and faith are prerequisites to healing.
