telecast: Resurrection or Heaven?

Matthew 17:1-22, Mark 9:10-29
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 13-Jul-79; Sermon #RAD8077; 28 minutes

Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong contends that the teachings of Jesus have very little resemblance to those of the major 'Christian' professing denominations. The conundrum about "seeing the Kingdom of God" in Matthew 17 was explained by the transfiguration - a vision of the future Kingdom of God - not a promise of Heaven. The Bible nowhere teaches that Heaven is the reward of the saved nor does it teach an ever-burning Hell for those lost. Christ's true message has been obscured in pagan myth. The booklets Is There a Real Hellfire? and Why Were You Born? were offered on this program.
