telecast: Repentance; John 9
John 9:1-41
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 13-Aug-79; Sermon #RAD8097; 28 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong reiterates that today's 'Christian' professing denominations practice the diametric opposite of what Jesus taught and practiced, having instead adopted pagan customs and practices or cumbersome, man-made rules. Many people believe 'on' Christ, but do not believe what He says or do what He commands. Christ demands repentance and total yieldedness to Him, offering us the enabling power of God's Holy Spirit. Although repentance does not save, but it does reconcile us to God, Who in turn gives us His Spirit to enable us to overcome our hostile carnal nature. The booklet The Plain Truth About Healing was offered on this program.
