telecast: Child Rearing
Proverbs 3:11-12, Hebrews 12:5-6
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 01-Jan-34; Sermon #TWT2273A; 30 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong, after recounting the experiences of several runaways suffering from the effects of their self-indulgent parents' addiction to gambling and other compulsive behaviors, indicts irresponsible parenting for ninety per cent of juvenile delinquency. Parental discipline and chastening, abhorrent to many modern psychologists, is actually an act of love. Family disintegration and societal breakdown stems from the contempt for and disregard of God's Law (as well as man's law) - a mindset sadly learned in the homes throughout our land. The booklet The Ten Commandments was offered on this program.
