Herbert W. Armstrong cautions that the key to biblical prophecy is found within the pages of the Bible, not by reading in extra-biblical interpretations. Even God's secretary or stenographer Daniel did not attempt to rely on his own understanding in interpreting scriptures. Vanity and egotism get in the way of biblical understanding and conversion, while humility and submission to God promote spiritual understanding and lead to conversion.
