telecast: Church History
Pagan Customs
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 01-Jan-34; Sermon #HA246A; 30 minutes
Description: (hide)
Herbert W. Armstrong reveals that secular history, such as Gibbons History of the Roman Empire, emphasized the inextricable attachment of the early church with the Mosaic Law (albeit without the animal sacrifices). Through persecution and assimilation, a virulent Pagan admixture, still practiced by mainstream 'Christianity' or Christiandom, incrementally displaced the pure religion taught by Christ and his disciples. God's church is not to be unequally yoked to gentile or pagan traditions. The booklets Are We Neglecting Our Youth? as well as four booklets describing each of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were offered on the program.
