End-Time Cavemen
CGG Weekly by Charles WhitakerDuring the time of the sixth seal on a degraded planet Earth, end-time cave dwellers, ranging from kings to slaves, hide under mountains and rocks, issuing a desperate command for the mountains to fall on them and conceal them from God. These cavemen demonstrate a partial understanding of their dire situation, recognizing two Beings—Him who sits on the throne and the Lamb—as the source of their troubles, despite not having seen either. They identify one as the Lamb and understand that both Beings are angry, squarely attributing their problems to the wrath of these divine figures rather than blaming nature or cycles. In their distress, the cavemen ask who can stand against this wrath, acknowledging their powerlessness and the extraordinary nature of their times as the great day of His wrath, indicating a superficial awareness of facing the Day of the Lord. Their understanding of God differs significantly from most contemporary views, as they refer to Christ as the Lamb and recognize the prophesied Day of the Lord—concepts alien to many in the secularized world. Influenced by the preaching of the Two Witnesses, which began at the fifth seal, these cave dwellers have a more thorough, though incomplete, understanding of God and His purposes. While they do not express outright rebellion or personal guilt, nor show repentance, they have started on a path where God has planted seeds in their minds, potentially preparing them for future roles as the Millennium begins.
