Amanda writes,
After a week stay in the hospital my biopsy results came back as positive for a cancer of the lymph nodes, Non-Hodgkin large B cell lymphoma. I moved back home this weekend because my parents offered to help take care of Jeremy and I while I receive chemotherapy. This treatment is expected to last about 5 months. Thank you for all your prayers so far, and for your continued prayers for my and my family's strength and healing. May we learn what we need to learn during this time. God is in control of the process and outcome.
Ford, Nathan
Previous Requests14-May-12
Brook Ford writes,
At Nathan's 3-year check up last week, the doctor discovered that he has a heart murmur. He referred us to a pediatric cardiologist. His appointment was today and after doing an EKG and Echocardiogram, the cardiologist found that Nathan has a condition called SupraValve Aortic Stenosis, meaning that the valve going from the left ventricle to the aorta is narrowing. Fortunately, it is mild at this point, but if it worsens and becomes serious enough it will require surgery. The cardiologist felt that this could take years. Nathan has a follow-up appointment where he will be retested in November, and then every 12 months after that. The cardiologist is contacting Nathan’s pediatrician to see if there is anything else that we need to do. Prayers for Nathan’s condition and that nothing else comes up would be appreciated.

The insurance company is in the process of hauling off the debris from the Gates' house, after which the contractor is going to begin construction of the new home. The estimated time for completion is three months, so Robert and his wife could possible be in by September. They are living in a rental in the meantime, and thankful for the real furniture. They are very thankful for the prayers.
21-May-12
Robert and his wife will be moving into a rental home in Winfield, KS on Tuesday. His wife's church is loaning them enough furniture to get by. The Gates are talking with a contractor about rebuilding a home on their property. They decided this would be the best option, since there are really no homes for sale in Winfield without steps (which is important because of their age). Thank you for your prayers.
16-May-12
Robert and his wife are very appreciative of the prayers. The Gates' insurance company has declared the house a total loss, and will cover everything related to the fire, including their time in the motel. One of their main challenges right now is finding a place to rent in the small town of Winfield, Kansas. Please continue to pray for the Gates as they go through these circumstances. Thank you.
14-May-12
Please pray for Robert Gates, who was baptized at this past Feast of Tabernacles. This weekend, while taking his wife out to dinner, he received a call that his house was on fire. When they got home, there were seven fire trucks, but the house was a complete loss. Robert and his wife only have the clothes they were wearing, and are living in a motel. Please pray for God's comfort and guidance during this very trying circumstance. Thank you.

Elise is suffering from diverticulitis. She went to the hospital, but has been released and is back home now. Please pray for God's intervention and healing. Thank you.

Alfred's sentence included a stipulation that he cannot leave the state for six months. However, this will interfere with travelling to the Feast of Tabernacles. A minister has written a letter to the judge to explain Alfred's religious conviction, and Alfred would appreciate your prayers for favor in the judge's eyes so he can attend the Feast. Thank you.

Laura Thomas is asking for prayers for her granddaughter, Aleigha Pollard. She is experiencing a severe allergic reaction and has gone to the doctor for tests to determine the source of her allergies. While she is awaiting the test results and doctor's recommendation, she is dealing with intense itching and discomfort. Over the counter medications have been helpful, but the relief is shortlived. Aleigha received a shot yesterday that alleviated the itch for about 12 hours, but now the itching and burning sensation from scratching has returned. Please pray for God's intervention in relieving her symptoms, and guidance in determining the cause. Thank you.
Preston, Susan
Alexander Heights, Western Australia
Previous Requests12-May-12
According to the vascular registrar, Susan's case was discussed at a meeting late this week. The case is set to go to the planning stage, where the measurements would be made, and the scans can then be uploaded. The graft will be made by hand, which will take six weeks. However, what the Prestons have just learned is that Susan's case is at the end of the line, and so they do not know when the six-week process will start. They are concerned about the Feast of Tabernacles and the requisite recovery time from the surgery, and would appreciate your prayers, according to God's will, that the process can be sped up. Thank you.
Price, Shirley

Shirley still has a slight headache, but overall the pain has greatly diminished. She will have follow-up appointments with her doctor to monitor her condition. She writes, "My heart-felt thanks for the prayers given on my behalf and for the cards and flowers I received from the brethren. I am so thankful that I feel better. My thanks and praise to our Great God for His tender love and mercy to us."

Sablich, Craig
Matthews, North Carolina
Previous Requests18-May-12
The latest x-rays for Craig came back clear; the kidney stone was broken up and was able to pass yesterday. The pain is gone, and now he is on a course of antibiotics. Craig and Janae are deeply grateful for God's intervention, and for the love, support and prayers of the brethren.
15-May-12
Please pray for Craig Sablich, who is suffering from kidney stones. He is in a great deal of pain, but he is able to eat a little now, which is an improvement. He is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, at which time the doctors will attempt to break up the stone with radio waves. Craig and his family would appreciate your prayers not only for Craig's healing, but also for guidance regarding the timing and circumstances of their move back to New Orleans. Thank you.
