We must be content and joyful for the food, clothing, and positive uplifting human relationships (especially marriage and family) God has provided us. Solomon would have had a happier, more abundant life if he had stopped with one wife rather than letting his harem grow to 700 wives and 300 concubines. All the material acquisitions could not fill the void left by the multiple unhappy marriages and lack of one wholesome marriage. If we are following God's laws, we can be thankful and joyful for the multiple blessings of food, clothing, and wholesome human relationships.
