One of the most frequent questions people ask God when they go through trials is, "Why me?" Perhaps Job had a right to ask this question more than most personalities in the Bible. God commends His servant Job for being blameless and upright. Job was blameless and pure in his way of serving God. The question the book of Job answers is not "Why do the righteous suffer?", but "Why do the righteous serve God?" We might ask ourselves, "What is the motive for our serving God?" If Satan would ask God about our commitment, would we fare as well as Job? As we approach the Passover, we need to examine our underlying motives for following the Way.
