Because of turning her back on God, modern Israel has gone from one of the greatest lenders to the greatest debtors and is becoming, in a very real sense, an economic bond slave. Eventually the lenders will come to collect the debt, and America will be the slaves of strangers. We have an obligation not to emulate the example of our political leaders or the foolish virgins in Matthew 25, but be careful stewards of our economic and spiritual resources, putting on the armor of light preparing for the return of the Bridegroom.
