In Franklin Delano Roosevelt's 1941 State of the Union message, he extolled four highly sought after freedoms. One was the freedom from fear, referring to the proposed worldwide reduction in armaments and weapons of mass destruction. Ironically, since F.D.R.'s address, only a handful of people have been able to enjoy freedom from fear, and it has not come because of human government. Only God's plan will rescue the descendants of Jacob from their trouble and restore them to secure boundaries. The lack of fear will not take place until unity occurs between Israel and Judah. Real freedom from fear comes only from serving God, who will establish a covenant of peace, in addition to establishing David as the King over a reconciled Judah and Israel. Freedom from fear is a result of keeping God's commandments and statutes, and committing to God's way of life, gathering for unity and reconciliation with brethren and fellow spiritual Israelites.
