The dreadful Day of the Lord is a period of time that humanity will never forget, a day when the earth will be purified by a combination of fire and water, an epoch of time in which the sun's intense heat will scorch people, burning up 1/3 of the vegetation of the planet, turning the silly fantasies of the Climate Change proponents into harmless nursery rhymes. Scientists have discovered that our own sun is an average star, but it fluctuates in brightness, occasionally setting off solar flares (having the energy of a billion atomic bombs) which cause earthquakes and raise havoc with the magnetic fields of the earth. God will use both fire and water (in the form of gigantic hailstones) to cleanse the earth. Fortunately, God remains in total control as to who will perish and who will be protected. Nothing will be random in the Day of the Lord. Robert Frost, in his poem "Fire and Ice" alludes to the two tools which God will use to cleanse and purify the earth from sin and evil
