Socialism is Mob Rule (Part One)
Commentary by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)My title is, Socialism is Mob Rule. My concern lies in its basic economic operating procedures, which appear full of opportunities to the downtrodden masses of the unemployed or barely employed, yet its track record is absolutely dismal for employers and business owners. It generates more citizen riots by the unemployed than any other form of government. History has shown that socialism unleashes the lust of the mob and the police power of the mob on the nation, as recorded in historical accounts. Socialism subtly persuades the uninformed and unguarded to lust for what they are unwilling to work for, thinking they are getting something for nothing. It has a historical track record of persuading people to congregate into mobs to achieve their heart's desire through the force of the mob. The government becomes their high place of power that they look up to, and the power resides in their mob. Fear of the mob and whatever or whomever they believe opposes them often wins their desire. A mob does not respect or fear the government to the same intensity when one believes he has a large group of people with him. Having what they desire, combined with the large group, overwhelms their respect and fear of governmental power. This happens more often under socialistic governments than under despotic rulers or kings who seemingly rule by divine right. One of the root causes of mob rule under socialism is a massive lack of proper childrearing. Many do not know that God is the author of government and that all governments answer to Him, and He will judge. Consequently, they take action into their own hands. Additionally, children must be taught to work with the understanding and acceptance that life is not always fair due to others' sins, which fuels rebellion against government and influences mob behavior.
