  • Jeremiah 1:5-10
    “ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
    Before you were born I sanctified you;
    I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Then said I:
    “ Ah, Lord GOD!
    Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” But the LORD said to me:
    “ Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
    For you shall go to all to whom I send you,
    And whatever I command you, you shall speak.
    Do not be afraid of their faces,
    For I am with you to deliver you,” says the LORD. Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me:
    “ Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
    See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,
    To root out and to pull down,
    To destroy and to throw down,
    To build and to plant.'

  • Jeremiah 1:17-19
    “ Therefore prepare yourself and arise,
    And speak to them all that I command you.
    Do not be dismayed before their faces,
    Lest I dismay you before them.
    For behold, I have made you this day
    A fortified city and an iron pillar,
    And bronze walls against the whole land—
    Against the kings of Judah,
    Against its princes,
    Against its priests,
    And against the people of the land.
    They will fight against you,
    But they shall not prevail against you.
    For I am with you,' says the LORD, 'to deliver you.'

  • Jeremiah 15:20-21
    And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall;
    And they will fight against you,
    But they shall not prevail against you;
    For I am with you to save you
    And deliver you,” says the LORD.
    “ I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked,
    And I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.”

  • Jeremiah 25:15-18
    For thus says the LORD God of Israel to me: “Take this wine cup of fury from My hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it. And they will drink and stagger and go mad because of the sword that I will send among them.” Then I took the cup from the LORD’s hand, and made all the nations drink, to whom the LORD had sent me: Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;

  • Jeremiah 25:27-28
    'Therefore you shall say to them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: 'Drink, be drunk, and vomit! Fall and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you." And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “You shall certainly drink!

  • Deuteronomy 18:15
    "The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,

  • Jeremiah 15:15-16
    O LORD, You know;
    Remember me and visit me,
    And take vengeance for me on my persecutors.
    In Your enduring patience, do not take me away.
    Know that for Your sake I have suffered rebuke.
    Your words were found, and I ate them,
    And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart;
    For I am called by Your name,
    O LORD God of hosts.

  • Jeremiah 15:18
    Why is my pain perpetual
    And my wound incurable,
    Which refuses to be healed?
    Will You surely be to me like an unreliable stream,
    As waters that fail?

  • Jeremiah 39:18
    For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword; but your life shall be as a prize to you, because you have put your trust in Me,” says the LORD.’”

  • Jeremiah 12:3-5
    But You, O LORD, know me;
    You have seen me,
    And You have tested my heart toward You.
    Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter,
    And prepare them for the day of slaughter.
    How long will the land mourn,
    And the herbs of every field wither?
    The beasts and birds are consumed,
    For the wickedness of those who dwell there,
    Because they said, “He will not see our final end.” “ If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you,
    Then how can you contend with horses?
    And if in the land of peace,
    In which you trusted, they wearied you,
    Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?

  • Jeremiah 20:7-10
    O LORD, You induced me, and I was persuaded;
    You are stronger than I, and have prevailed.
    I am in derision daily;
    Everyone mocks me.
    For when I spoke, I cried out;
    I shouted, 'Violence and plunder!'
    Because the word of the LORD was made to me
    A reproach and a derision daily.
    Then I said, 'I will not make mention of Him,
    Nor speak anymore in His name.'
    But His word was in my heart like a burning fire
    Shut up in my bones;
    I was weary of holding it back,
    And I could not.
    For I heard many mocking:
    “ Fear on every side!”
    “ Report,” they say, “and we will report it!”
    All my acquaintances watched for my stumbling, saying,
    “ Perhaps he can be induced;
    Then we will prevail against him,
    And we will take our revenge on him.”

  • Jeremiah 38:4
    Therefore the princes said to the king, “Please, let this man be put to death, for thus he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, by speaking such words to them. For this man does not seek the welfare of this people, but their harm.”

  • Jeremiah 43:6
    men, women, children, the king’s daughters, and every person whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch the son of Neriah.

  • Jeremiah 45:3-5
    ‘You said, “Woe is me now! For the LORD has added grief to my sorrow. I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.”’ “Thus you shall say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Behold, what I have built I will break down, and what I have planted I will pluck up, that is, this whole land. And do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I will bring adversity on all flesh,” says the LORD. “But I will give your life to you as a prize in all places, wherever you go.”’”
