Martin Collins, focusing on the frightening set of events known as the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord recorded in the Olivet prophecy, describes tumultuous, cataclysmic sights in the heavens, ushering in the return of Jesus Christ to rescue the earth and its contents from certain destruction, replacing the extant climate of hatred with Christ’s loving-kindness and forgiveness, which are almost too vast to comprehend. Only with the help of God’s Holy Spirit are we able to fathom the dimensions of width, breadth, length, and depth of Jesus Christ’s and God the Father’s love. The width of Christ’s love transcends all races. The length of God’s love extends to eternity, never varying in intensity. The depth of God’s love can rescue us from the degradation and condemnation of sin. The height of God’s love depicts His expectations for us as glorified members of His family and rulers in His Kingdom, being like Him and seeing Him as He is.
