Feast of Tabernacles 2020 Activities

Children's Bible Class (Sunday morning, 10/4 at 9:00 am)

The themes of The Ten Commandments and The Beatitudes will be covered using fun interactive crafts and games! The activity is primarily targeted at children aged 2-8, though older children are welcome! Please have a parent in attendance with your child to help with the crafts and games.

This activity will be held in the Main Meeting Hall. Please see Courtney Geer or Summer Graham for more information.

Scavenger Hunt (Sunday afternoon, 10/4 at 2:00 pm)

We will be having a scavenger hunt this year using various landmarks in the Myrtle Beach area. If you are interested in playing, form up a team of 4-6 players - and remember that at least one player needs to have a car! Please send your team name and the name of your players to Jackie Eggers by private message on Facebook Messenger or by text at 803-320-2540.

When the photos from the Hunt will be shown will be announced at the Feast.

Baptism Counseling (Sunday evening, 10/4 at 7:30 pm)

If you are interested in counseling for baptism Richard Ritenbaugh will hold a short counseling session. Please listen to the announcements or check the bulletin for more details.

Family Day (Monday afternoon, 10/5 at 1:00 pm)

We will once again be holding Family Day on the Doubletree Lawn and Beach. Food, fellowship, games, inflatables, football, kites … all the usual excitement will be returning! We will also be holding our third annual sandcastle contest so form up your teams and prepare to challenge our returning reigning champion!

The cost for adults is $13
Children 10 and under are $7

This year we will be selling lunch tickets online.

Bingo! (Monday evening, 10/5 at 8:00 pm)

Bingo is back! This year we are asking you to participate in the prize fun! Bring a wrapped or gift-bagged prize to share - you can put a note inside with your name or you can keep it anonymous - your choice. Please mark on the outside if the prize is for children or adults. We will still contribute prizes but with your addition it will be even more fun!

Golf (Tuesday afternoon, 10/6 at 1:00)

This year’s annual golf tournament will be played at Tupelo Bay’s Golf center about 6 1/2 miles south of the Doubletree hotel. We’ll be playing an executive golf course which includes only par 3 and par 4 holes to expedite playing time to about 3 hours. The cost will be $25 and we will be playing captain’s choice or best ball format. Our tee time is 1:30 pm.

If you are interested in playing please contact Bill Onisick - bonisick@gmail.com. Your payment will be made in person at the venue.

We have also negotiated a discounted Group rate at the same facility for disc golf, 9-hole par 3 golf and foot golf - this is played by using a soccer ball and hitting it into 21” holes. The group rate for 10 or more players all week for these events is $10 per player for 9 holes or $15 for 18 holes.

Children's Story Time (Tuesday afternoon, 10/6 at 2:00 pm)

We will hold a storytime for toddlers and young elementary-aged children in the Osprey room. For more information, please see Tracy Wilhelm.

The Gift and Science of Music (Tuesday evening, 10/6 at 8:00 pm)

Barbara Shanks, the Principle Oboist of the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, will perform a musical demonstration with video and instruments on the science and beauty behind the gift of music. All ages welcome!

Ripley’s Aquarium, Odditorium, and 5D Moving Theater (Wednesday afternoon, 10/7 at 1:30 pm)

Ripley’s 5D Moving Theater

Ripley's state-of-the-art-theater will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat! Let your senses run wild as you experience every bump, drop, and turn with our motion simulator. The theater offers two high-impact, 3-D films with digital effects and motion seats that will have you feeling like you’re in the movie!

We’ll meet at the Aquarium as a group.

**If you would like to add on to your Aquarium Ticket, choose one or both of the other attractions: the Odditorium or the 5D Moving Theater. You MUST purchase an aquarium ticket to get the discount on the added attractions.

Grand Prix Go-Karts & Mini-Golf (Thursday afternoon, 10/8 at 1:30 pm)

Everyone needs a little thrill! Race to victory on seven go-kart tracks, climb to the top of the rock wall, become a legend on the two 18-hole mini-golf courses, or get the highest score in the Grand Prix arcade! Broadway Grand Prix offers all the greatest Myrtle Beach attractions and games, so there’s plenty of fun for all ages! Conveniently located across from Broadway at the Beach. The Place to Race… for all ages!

Adults over 4’ are $27
Children under 4’ are $22

We will meet at the event as a group. Wrist bands will be distributed to you, which covers unlimited use of the go-karts, mini-golf, and bumper cars. There is an arcade, but tokens to play must be purchased.

The Roaring Twenties Dance (Thursday evening, 10/8 at 8:00 pm)

Come dressed to impress in your best 1920s costume and dance the night away to a variety of music! There will be a photo booth to make sure you remember this special evening for years to come!

Baptisms will be held at the Doubletree Indoor Pool. Everyone is welcome to attend.
