Are We Losing Our Children?
CGG Weekly by David C. GrabbeThe frenzied pace at which we live takes its toll on adults, leaving many gasping for breath and struggling under the load. However, this relentless pace also deeply affects the next generation. If our children are not properly instructed and cared for, even amidst chaos, they, too, may become lost. There are encouraging signs that part of the culture is awakening to the need to provide security and nurturing to children. Homeschooling is increasing at a tremendous rate across the country. More women are recognizing that the cost of pursuing careers and generous salaries is too high, often leading to loneliness rather than rewarding family life. Mothers, married and unmarried, with children under three are leaving the workplace. Most crucially, fathers must shake off the shackles of materialism, narcissism, and feminism to provide their families with what is truly needed: leadership, security, attention, involvement, and instruction. We cannot afford any more lost children.
