  • Deuteronomy 7:6-11
    "For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. "Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.

Your breasts were formed, your hair grew, but you were naked and bare. 'When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine,' says the Lord GOD. “Then I washed you in water; yes, I thoroughly washed off your blood, and I anointed you with oil. I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of badger skin; I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."

  • Ephesians 2:11-12
    Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

  • Deuteronomy 7:2-4
    and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the LORD will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly.

  • Isaiah 59:1-2
    Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened,
    That it cannot save;

    And your sins have hidden His face from you,
    So that He will not hear.

    "For the LORD God of Israel says
    That He hates divorce,

    That you do not deal treacherously."

  • Isaiah 1:10-14
    Hear the word of the LORD,
    You rulers of Sodom;
    Give ear to the law of our God,
    You people of Gomorrah:
    "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?"
    Says the LORD.
    " I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
    And the fat of fed cattle.
    I do not delight in the blood of bulls,
    Or of lambs or goats.
    "When you come to appear before Me,
    Who has required this from your hand,
    To trample My courts?
    Bring no more futile sacrifices;
    Incense is an abomination to Me.
    The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies—
    I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.
    Your New Moons and your appointed feasts
    My soul hates;
    They are a trouble to Me,
    I am weary of bearing them.

  • Isaiah 9:8-12
    The Lord sent a word against Jacob,
    And it has fallen on Israel.
    All the people will know—
    Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria—
    Who say in pride and arrogance of heart:
    “ The bricks have fallen down,
    But we will rebuild with hewn stones;
    The sycamores are cut down,
    But we will replace them with cedars.”
    Therefore the LORD shall set up
    The adversaries of Rezin against him,
    And spur his enemies on,
    The Syrians before and the Philistines behind;
    And they shall devour Israel with an open mouth.
    For all this His anger is not turned away,
    But His hand is stretched out still.
