The Wholeness of God

To their detriment, people often over-focus on a single piece of the divine nature. This tendency creates an unbalanced understanding of God and usually blinds the individual to the whole picture of His character. For example, many overemphasize His forgiveness, forgetting that He is a just Judge who enforces His law. John Ritenbaugh explains that God reveals His nature broadly to help us emulate and grow in His character in our lives.
