description: (hide) When an elderly woman suffered an injury leading to her death, the church in which she had attended sent no one out to see her. The local deacon said baseball season and a bowling tournament had a higher order of priority. No one came by to express condolences nor did anyone prepare any memorial meal for the family. Hopefully we will never achieve the reputation of aloofness or uncaring. We need to make sure that we are affectionate, kindly, sympathetic, giving honor to one another, giving preferential value and esteem to our brethren. Our salvation is closely tied to how we treat one another.
