From Dust to Glory
Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by Clyde FinkleaIs it possible to gaze into the starry heavens and fail to see the glory of God that reveals that He exists? For such a glorious creation demands a Creator, revealing His power, His wisdom, and His infinity. The earth likewise displays His glory through the beauty of a flower, the perfection of a snowflake, the strength of mountains, the vastness of oceans, and the instincts of the animal kingdom. Yet, the highest of God's creation is man, formed personally by His own hands in His own image, with abilities and qualities after His own life. God is mindful of man because it is His plan to bring many sons to glory. This is our awesome destiny, as those whom God has called and chosen are being made in His likeness. God is creating in us His holy righteous nature, the very essence of love, characterized by joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control. In this divine work, God will finish His creation in us, and we will be like Jesus Christ, inheriting everything that He has inherited. From dust to glory, this is the profound journey God has set for us.
