God's Kingdom in the Parables (Part Three): Hidden Treasure
'Prophecy Watch' by David C. GrabbeGod's Word is a treasure of immeasurable worth, hidden until He reveals it to those He calls. In the Parable of the Hidden Treasure, Jesus Christ portrays a man who, upon finding this priceless treasure, hides it again with noble intent, offering a solution to the destructive leaven that corrupts. This treasure symbolizes a collection of interwoven spiritual riches: understanding, wisdom, the fear of the Lord, knowledge of God, and God's Word itself. These elements, vital for living God's way of life, are hidden until He grants them, forming the foundation of true faith. This faith, precious beyond gold, is what Christ values deeply, seeking it in those who trust in His sovereignty and power to heal and grant eternal life. It is the basis of the Kingdom, given to a nation bearing its fruits, a treasure that brings Him great joy when found and nurtured.
