God is a Being of purpose who has designed a master plan to create a divine family of billions in His image, working it out over millennia without alteration. Each step in this plan prepares for the next, as seen in the creation of physical humanity after His likeness, the Old Covenant period that preserved a people until Christ's birth and sacrifice, and Christ's own life that equipped Him as High Priest. Those involved in any step are either prepared by God or recruited to help prepare the following one, ensuring the plan advances precisely as purposed from the foundation of the world. This pattern continues into the Millennium. Those living then, while learning God's way and qualifying for eternal life, will also prepare for the Great White Throne Judgment by rebuilding ruined cities, constructing homes and infrastructure, tilling land, and producing food, clothing, and supplies on a massive scale. Their labor under the supervision of the firstfruits will create habitable environments and provisions so that the billions raised in the second resurrection can receive physical necessities, education, and opportunities to repent and overcome during their hundred-year period of judgment. In this way their efforts ensure the next stage of God's plan unfolds smoothly, extending the continuous preparation that leads ultimately to the new heavens and new earth.
