Powers of Christ

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

God's power is absolutely limitless and inexhaustible. All power flows from Him. He either gives it directly or allows certain ones to take it have it and use it. His power is absolute and when He sends His power out to do something it gets done. It will not come back in vain not having accomplished what it was sent out to do. Jesus Christ has all the power of the universe in His hand. He has the power to fix the problem because He made it. Therefore creation obeys the voice of its Creator.

God's Throne

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

Solomon's opulent throne pales miserably in comparison to God's heavenly throne, surrounded by angelic beings, demonstrating the perfection of His government.

Psalm Genres (Part Seven): Trust

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

God's power is absolute. He alone possesses true sovereignty and holds all authority in every situation. This absolute power allows Him to protect, deliver, and preserve those who trust in Him without limitation. In declarations of trust the psalmists affirm that power belongs to God and that no human strength or scheme can compare. As Creator of heaven and earth His power extends over all creation, enabling Him to guard His people from every danger at all times. Because His power is absolute, He renders to each one according to His work, combining strength with mercy to fulfill every promise. Trust therefore rests securely on the reality that God alone controls all outcomes and will bring His purposes to completion.
