Jesus commands His church to preach the gospel throughout the world as a primary work, directing the apostles to proclaim repentance and remission of sins in His name to all nations and declaring that this gospel of the Kingdom must be preached as a witness to every nation before the end arrives. Nominal Christianity pursues this task through public declarations, revival meetings, and media appeals that urge immediate personal salvation and entry into the church, yet it diverges from the true purpose by treating the message as an open invitation for all to be saved in the present age. The fundamental principle overlooked is that no one can come to Christ unless the Father draws him, for none naturally seeks God, and salvation remains restricted to a little flock chosen by the Father. Preaching therefore functions as a witness that testifies to who God is, what His standards require, what He is accomplishing, and what judgment He will soon execute in righteousness. This warning calls hearers to repent because the Kingdom of God is at hand and will render to each according to his deeds, leaving humanity without excuse when destruction falls and the Kingdom is established. From among those who hear, God selects only a few to respond in belief, enter the church, and receive instruction to observe all His commands. In this age the preaching thus trains the elect while simultaneously warning the world that God is about to act to bring justice and peace, reserving the salvation of the majority for the general resurrection in accordance with His purpose that none should perish eternally.
