Handwriting on the Wall (2020): Critical Race Theory

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

The current unrest in America's cities, marked by riots, looting, and violence, is deeply connected to a philosophical framework known as Critical Race Theory (CRT), which is a subset of the broader Critical Theory. This philosophy underpins the actions of groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter, which are not spontaneous grassroots movements but rather the result of nearly 200 years of progressive and communist thought among intellectuals. Critical Race Theory introduces a racial dimension to these ideologies, fueling the belief systems that drive the destructive behaviors seen on the streets. Understanding Critical Theory, and specifically Critical Race Theory, is essential to grasping the motivations behind the 12,045 incidents of civil unrest across 47 states between May 26 and September 5, with about one in ten turning violent, and 84% of those violent incidents involving Black Lives Matter or Antifa. This philosophy, rooted in the ideas of the Frankfurt School as described by Michael Walsh in his book, The Devil's Pleasure Palace, represents a subversive force aimed at deconstructing societal norms, reflecting a hatred of traditional structures and a pursuit of power.
