This equipping connects to the broader purpose of light as the symbol of creation, revelation, and final restoration. Just as God commanded light to shine out of darkness at the beginning and will ultimately make His glory the everlasting light of the redeemed, the present call to wear the armor of light prepares the individual to live as a child of light now and to share in the unapproachable radiance that will fill the new heavens and new earth.
