A Footnote on the Start of Christ's Ministry
Sermonette by David C. GrabbeThe length of Jesus Christ's ministry is a significant factor in understanding certain prophetic timelines. If His ministry began on Pentecost, it would have lasted nearly four years, which poses challenges to the alignment with the Seventy Weeks prophecy and end-time events. Conversely, a beginning on the Day of Atonement would result in a ministry length of 3 ½ years, fitting more consistently with prophetic time elements. This duration aligns with the concept of fulfilling the first half of a Sabbatical cycle of years, leaving the remaining 3 ½ years for future fulfillment as described in various prophecies.
