Milk and Meat
'Ready Answer' by StaffGod's instructions to His people include specific commands about not seething a kid in its mother's milk, as mentioned in Exodus 23:19, Exodus 34:26, and Deuteronomy 14:21. These commands, given in the context of observing His feast days, were meant to distinguish His people from the pagan practices of the Canaanites and Egyptians, who boiled a kid in its mother's milk as a fertility rite to increase crop yields. Though this specific act is unlikely to be practiced today, if one were to do so, it would be tempting God and breaking one of His laws, which remain binding. However, consuming meat and milk products together is permissible, as God has always allowed it, evidenced by a meal prepared for Jesus Christ by Abraham and Sarah long before the time of Moses.
