  • Zephaniah 3:1-20
    Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted,
    To the oppressing city!
    She has not obeyed His voice,
    She has not received correction;
    She has not trusted in the LORD,
    She has not drawn near to her God.
    Her princes in her midst are roaring lions;
    Her judges are evening wolves
    That leave not a bone till morning.
    Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people;
    Her priests have polluted the sanctuary,
    They have done violence to the law.
    The LORD is righteous in her midst,
    He will do no unrighteousness.
    Every morning He brings His justice to light;
    He never fails,
    But the unjust knows no shame.
    “ I have cut off nations,
    Their fortresses are devastated;
    I have made their streets desolate,
    With none passing by.
    Their cities are destroyed;
    There is no one, no inhabitant.
    I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me,
    You will receive instruction’—
    So that her dwelling would not be cut off,
    Despite everything for which I punished her.
    But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds. ' Therefore wait for Me,' says the LORD,
    ' Until the day I rise up for plunder;
    My determination is to gather the nations
    To My assembly of kingdoms,
    To pour on them My indignation,
    All My fierce anger;
    All the earth shall be devoured
    With the fire of My jealousy.
    “ For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language,
    That they all may call on the name of the LORD,
    To serve Him with one accord.
    From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
    My worshipers,
    The daughter of My dispersed ones,
    Shall bring My offering.
    In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds
    In which you transgress against Me;
    For then I will take away from your midst
    Those who rejoice in your pride,
    And you shall no longer be haughty
    In My holy mountain.
    I will leave in your midst
    A meek and humble people,
    And they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
    The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness
    And speak no lies,
    Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth;
    For they shall feed their flocks and lie down,
    And no one shall make them afraid.” Sing, O daughter of Zion!
    Shout, O Israel!
    Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
    O daughter of Jerusalem!
    The LORD has taken away your judgments,
    He has cast out your enemy.
    The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst;
    You shall see disaster no more.
    In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
    “ Do not fear;
    Zion, let not your hands be weak.
    The LORD your God in your midst,
    The Mighty One, will save;
    He will rejoice over you with gladness,
    He will quiet you with His love,
    He will rejoice over you with singing.”
    “ I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly,
    Who are among you,
    To whom its reproach is a burden.
    Behold, at that time
    I will deal with all who afflict you;
    I will save the lame,
    And gather those who were driven out;
    I will appoint them for praise and fame
    In every land where they were put to shame.
    At that time I will bring you back,
    Even at the time I gather you;
    For I will give you fame and praise
    Among all the peoples of the earth,
    When I return your captives before your eyes,”
    Says the LORD.

  • Genesis 4:16-26
    Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son—Enoch. To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech. Then Lamech took for himself two wives: the name of one was Adah, and the name of the second was Zillah. And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. His brother’s name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute. And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah. Then Lamech said to his wives:
    “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;
    Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech!
    For I have killed a man for wounding me,
    Even a young man for hurting me. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold,
    Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.” And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the name of the LORD.

  • Joel 2:28-32
    ' And it shall come to pass afterward
    That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
    Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
    Your old men shall dream dreams,
    Your young men shall see visions.
    And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
    I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
    ' And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
    Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
    The sun shall be turned into darkness,
    And the moon into blood,
    Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
    And it shall come to pass
    That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
    Shall be saved.
    For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,
    As the LORD has said,
    Among the remnant whom the LORD calls.

  • Matthew 1:21-25
    And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.

  • Acts 2:21

    That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
    Shall be saved.'

  • Romans 10:9-13
    that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

  • 2 Peter 3:7-12
    But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

  • Genesis 6:1-7
    Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, 'I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.'

  • 1 Kings 18:24-37
    Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.” Now Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.” So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. Then they leaped about the altar which they had made. And so it was, at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, 'Cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is sleeping and must be awakened.' So they cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them. And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention. Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.” Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.” Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time. So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water. And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, "LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”

    And from the perilous pestilence.
    He shall cover you with His feathers,
    And under His wings you shall take refuge;

    The LORD preserves the simple;
    I was brought low, and He saved me.
    Return to your rest, O my soul,
    For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You have delivered my soul from death,
    My eyes from tears,
    And my feet from falling.
    I will walk before the LORD
    In the land of the living.
    I believed, therefore I spoke,
    “I am greatly afflicted.”
    I said in my haste,
    “All men are liars.” What shall I render to the LORD
    For all His benefits toward me?
    I will take up the cup of salvation,
    And call upon the name of the LORD.
    I will pay my vows to the LORD
    Now in the presence of all His people. Precious in the sight of the LORD
    Is the death of His saints. O LORD, truly I am Your servant;

Then the priests answered and said, "No." And Haggai said, "If one who is unclean because of a dead body touches any of these, will it be unclean?" So the priests answered and said, "It shall be unclean." Then Haggai answered and said, ""So is this people, and so is this nation before Me," says the LORD, "and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.

    For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
    The city shall be taken,
    The houses rifled,
    And the women ravished.
    Half of the city shall go into captivity,
    But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
    Then the LORD will go forth
    And fight against those nations,
    As He fights in the day of battle.
    And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
    Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
    And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
    From east to west,
    Makinga very large valley;
    Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
    And half of it toward the south.
    Then you shall flee through My mountain valley,
    For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal.
    Yes, you shall flee
    As you fled from the earthquake
    In the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
    Thus the LORD my God will come,
    And all the saints with You.

    And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God."

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'" "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, "These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens": "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more.
