Sermonette: Whatever Your Heart Desires
Freedom that Reveals the Heart
#1894s

Given 19-Sep-26; 18 minutes
As the Feast of Tabernacles approaches, its preparations and memories invite us to examine how our desires change with age, circumstances, and spiritual growth. God's instruction to spend second tithe on "whatever your heart desires" is not merely permission to enjoy His blessings; it is a revealing test of what we truly value. Scripture shows that prosperity, offerings, daily choices, and our treatment of others expose whether our hearts are shaped by pride and temporary pursuits or by Christlike love, mercy, generosity, and eternal priorities. Because physical wealth quickly passes away, the Feast challenges us to exercise freedom within God's commands in ways that demonstrate gratitude, spiritual maturity, and a heart devoted to laying up treasure in heaven.
